Cam Wal Electric Cooperative is an non profit electric utility located in Selby, South Dakota.  To become a member of this cooperative you must live in the counties of Campbell, Walworth or Potter Counties of North Central South Dakota and also be inside the service territory of Cam Wal.  Cam Wal is governed by articles of incorporation and cooperative bylaws.  The governance currently consists of nine directors; three from each of the aforementioned counties.  Each director is also a bona-fide member of the cooperative.

Every June an annual membership meeting is conducted. Not only do elections take place but also the cooperative's business such as bylaw changes. In 2023 the annual meeting will be held June 27 at the Selby School Gym.  All of the cooperative's membership is invited.
